Tonight was 20 minutes of cardio in zone one (112-130 beats per minute). I spent a lot of it dipping up into zone 2. It was really nice, though. It’s amazing that I can keep up a good heart rate for 20 minutes straight without feeling as bad as I used to. What’s equally nice about using your heart rate to train is that I’m not cheating myself by just going through motions for a set time, and two, I’m not killing myself because I’m going after a number and not a duration.
Tomorrow night, I see the personal trainer. We’ll see how that goes.
