People often ask me how I come up with things to blog about, and I find the question strange, because my problem is the opposite. I have too much to blog about. Why? Because there’s a whole fast revolution rolling through, and right now - today - is our time to make it all work for us. If we’re going to show people how to use social media to drive meaningful conversations instead of being yet another marketing tool, we have to run out and educate at a break-neck pace, so we can bring more and more thought leaders into alignment with these big and not-so-big organizations who could use our help.
So, on my plane ride home from San Francisco, I decided to write you up 100 blog post titles that I want YOU to write. Take one of these and run with it. Make the coolest ideas from whatever these spark in you, and keep coming back to these as often as you want. Bookmark the page. Copy/paste it into a notepad file. Whatever works for you. Or just use them as a way to bounce into better posts of your own devise. Make podcasts. Whatever works for you.
One favor? Would you throw a link somewhere back to http://chrisbrogan.com ? Pretty please? Thanks.

Nice list, I’ll try to tackle a few over the next couple of weeks
I already have one up Chris. #5 and I bookmarked this post and will use it as a guide for future posts.
Yea, Chris!
What fun this list is . . . so many people will get value from this.
Hris I will try ! first I have to read this one again and practice spelling ! http://books.google.com/books?id=KN5gvaDwrGcC&printsec=frontcover
That is a great list, Chris. I’ll work on at least a few of them! Thanks for the continued inspiration.
Great ideas, Chris! Now I REALLY have no excuses. :P
Helluva checklist, Chris. I’ll have to incorporate some of these ideas in my new wine/beer weblog at http://www.drinksareonme.net
I only have 99 more to lift. Thanks for the insights and I appreciate the thought you put into it. I clearly hope you write on your mom’s facebook account.
I’ll do #80.
Guy
“Warning: Highly Addictive” - things that entertain you or you frequent.
“What if” - change things common to your interest, if you’re blog is about money - put out a “what I would do if I was poor” ..etc..etc
This is an interesting idea sharing concept… I already see a few I could easily write about.. thanks Chris! :)
Excellent list. Thanks.
Yehuda
Interesting idea! I’ve been meaning to branch out of pure ranting about my life and this is a perfect platform to do so. I’ll take up the challenge and type out the entire list.
I too will be adding some of these to my blog. Great topics, loving your work.

Don’t know why my blog (snowulf) decided to send 2 trackbacks. Sorry about that. Regardless, I sat down and wrote #54. Personally I think this was an awesome idea. Its an excuse to everyone to write, and to “Compare notes”. A community working together is always a good idea.
Great list, thanks
Any chance you can turn these into links when you find them?
Tom
No one gives a fuck what you hope for uninteresting blogger number 734,213,086.
Step back from the computer, lean forward, prod the on/off button till the screen turns black(ish) then move along.
Why are there like 5 topics on Facebook… god get over facebook already. If you flew in for the TC 20/40/ conference, then you don’t even have the excuse of living in silicon valley to be drinking the koolaid.
This list is cool but weird. It’s half interesting and half total techie that 85% of the american population has no idea what it even means.
this is a good advice to help new comers,
I find that I don’t really need a list I need an open mind and a little research.
Although I certainly am constantly seeking, seeking possibilities and dreams.
Nice one Chris, really good idea for a post.
I’ve taken a stab at #22:
http://pigeonbeaks.com/2007/09/20/number-22-if-i-were-an-advertiser-today/
and look forward to reading all the other efforts
Cool. You’ve just gave me few ideas. Thanks. :)
Thanks for the great ideas. I will tackle a couple of them on my Sales blog.
Brilliant list and a few quirky ones too - I’ll definitely give them a try, thanks! :)
Strikes me that if folks need a list of things to write about, ideas from someone else, then they will soon run out of steam on their chosen topic… I feel that if you can’t write about something important to you with imagination and enthusiasm, then, whatever it is, it is not that important to you, and you clearly have no enthusiasm for it.
I suppose you could imagine you have those attributes, but since you clearly lack imagination, (or you would have thought of your own blog topics), you’ll probably struggle with that too.
Nice idea, Chris, it would be nice to see the opportunity to be creative taken, and the medium exploited, while it’s hot, but some people are simply not up to muster. there’s a limit to what you can do to help them…
Thanks for the list. I took a couple topics. Great list.
Fabulous list! I’ve been in a “writing rut” lately, and you have given me some great ideas. Thanks!
Cool list and clever post. Two ideas… it might be interesting to put a website up that reposts all the posts folks write, categorized by your titles. Reading different people’s approaches to the same title/topic could be interesting. You could also take one article on each of the titles and put them into a book on LuLu… proceeds to support some worthy community cause as it would be a community written book… Just a thought…

How about idea #101? How I got started in the blogging business? (or something similar). Thing is, I would like to blog but there are so many options, I don’t know where to start! Or “Twenty Things to Consider When Starting a Blog”. Is there a primary site out there like “All About Blogging”?
I started a PB Wiki for the list - it’s at http://blogspark.pbwiki.com/
I figured there’s a lot that each one of these items can cover (expansion on each topic) and figured we could add links to posts that people have written on each item.
No reason we can’t expand the list beyond 100, either.
I love the list! My personal favorite has to be No. 88. Thanks for all the great topics.
Great list–thanks! Sarah Wurrey and I will both be picking one (or more) to post on…I’ve been suffering from a bout of writer’s block lately and this is a terrific way to jumpstart the process.
Fab list - thanks a bunch for the prompters.
I’ve been trying to explain No 51 to someone today… alas they still don’t appreciate the value of organized chaos.
yeah,that’s right
thx to share
I think this is a great idea, making a nice big list of topics helps on those slow news days with plenty of time to write a post.
To combat this when I think of ideas I either write them in Sidenote or I make a draft post on Wordpress and use the title later to fully complete the post.
I think I will be using some of your titles for conversation starters, and I might make a list of topics myself.
you should write about the beinspace project -
spread life in outer space
Upload a file to http://www.beinspace.com give it a name a and a link to your site
And this information will live for ever in outer space.
Brilliant. If I start tomorrow and do one a day I will be finished on New Years Eve.
Better get the next 365 ready for me. ;-)
This is a fabulous list! I’m not a regular reader here, but I’ve got your site bookmarked now and look forward to reading more!
I took on #40 this morning. Ten Guilty Pleasures was just an idea that really appealed to me. *smile*
http://jolieve.polestar.org/blog/?p=777
The list here is absolute inspiration, I’m definitely going to work on a blog right away, thanks!:)
Hi,
This article has very useful information, it will be helpful for many certification exam aspirants. Actually one of my friends first read this article and asked me to visit this page.
It’s really amazing to read this description of this article. Thank you so much for your help and for your efforts.
Thanks,
Steve

You can make a whole blog just about facebook, lol :)
Great job Chris!! Did you write this on the plane back from Cali?
What an awesome idea - you are as prolific as ever!
Best,
Stephanie
A couple days ago I wrote about #71 ‘How I drive Trafic to My Site’, not the same title name but same idea here: http://www.kristoferbrozio.com/2007/09/17/ways-to-increase-traffic-to-your-site/
I grabbed #27, although I’m not sure I answered properly, I mean, I don’t speak for all women, ya know?
Makes me think of lists of photography “assignments”
Who really gives a frick what YOU want amigo. How about you write about those things asshole.
Trackbacks are borked for me and my blog sorry- I wrote about how I use facebook, which is fairly conservatively, I think! link is my website (under my name)
Thanks for these ideas. I’ll write on some or similar topics an let you know.
Some great ideas here. I’ll be sure to link back if tackle any of these.
I will try and cover a few of these in some of my latest posts, I am always running out of ideas. Thanks!
Chris, you’re going to make my brain explode with all those ideas!
xmooches,

Chris:
Noticed that there were 98 comments for your blog ’bout 100 things to blog ’bout #9 for me, at times will be your list!
Always grateful for you.
NEENZ.
Interesting list, Chris. Check after a month how many have been written about. What about adding ” Thinking about Blog Topics to write about”?
Thanks Chris. I’ve taken a half dozen of these topics and made drafts from them. I doubt I will write any of these in the next month. For one, it takes some time for me to process my thoughts in a coherent way and get them down. I often have several posts that I work on for weeks and months before I publish them. You’ve got some great ideas here - and things that I want to see myself. Maybe in Boston, I’ll have one or two ready and can point you to them.
Hey chris.. you have very good way of expressing your words. I really like the flow so natural and interesting. I don’t have that kind of skills, and i want to learn more from you
Wonderful list. Thanks.
Here’s a candidate for #101: What’s your most embarrassing moment?
And here’s my answerr:
http://youngisaac.typepad.com/artie/2007/05/most_embarrassi.html
Chris,
Great list. I gave #8 a shot and I gave you a link. Since Brian Clark had a link to this post, I gave him one too, just to be fully disclosed as to the path I took to get here.
Here’s the post, in case you’re interested:

Chris,
Superb post.A great list and an outrageous challenge.
Here is my first post about #75, “Handling Critics”
http://iscatterlings.com/5-ways-i-handle-critics/
Great List Chris…been working on #16…consistently deliver content that makes your customers more intelligent.
What about a top 10/7/3/100/29 list? I think we need more bloggers writing more exciting lists. I hold my hand high and proud. Guilty.
Hey Chris,
Thanks for the topics… I am working on #84.
-Deepak
fresh topics indeed chris. someone may benefit from this.
I just did one for real estate for #11 My Children Will Do it Differently.
Nice article Chris! My stab at #85…

Great list…
My attempt at 69 and 88….
Doh… It would help to link my blog http://singledaddiary.blogspot.com/
This is a real nice and funny list. I just had a good laugh imaging my mother having a profile on facebook! Even more funny, writing on other people’s walls and doing movie quizzes. That is VERY FAR away from her world. But nice list all the same. I think I shall definitely try out some.
I love this post! I can’t believe I missed it initially, but I followed a link from Guy Kawasaki’s blog to here and you’ve inspired me to write a bunch of posts!
Hi Chris,
I’m not sure that this is what you wanted…
