I started stalking Brian Clark of Copyblogger back in 2006. Hard to imagine that I’d already been blogging for eight years when he showed up, but I knew from the start that Brian was smarter at a lot of things than I was, and that he’d go far. He, on the other hand, thought I was a weirdo and wouldn’t amount to anything. (Long time joke, but true story.)
Brian and I Have Collaborated In Many Ways
Brian was faster to the idea of helping people learn what they needed to know about the business side of the web in a more formalized way. And he created years of content that people really couldn’t rival. While I dabbled and explored and investigated and changed lanes, Brian stayed very tightly on a single mission, helping you move the needle on your business.
When Brian started selling powerful premium WordPress themes, I signed up to sell them immediately. It took no convincing. When Brian launched his Rainmaker platform, I switched without any fear for my flagship website.
Come to the Authority Rainmaker Event
I’m very happy to be keynoting the Authority Rainmaker event, May 13-15 in Denver, CO. It’s stacked with smart people like Daniel Pink, Sally Hogshead, Ann Handley, Bernadette Jiwa, Sonya Simone, and ohhhhh so many more.
What I like about Brian’s event is that there’s an air of “nothing starstruck” about it. You are there to work, to learn, to bring home meaty value for your time and money. It’s not a “let’s take a selfie!” kind of event (though everyone there is friendly and will stand still for a photo, I imagine). It’s like a “whoa, I’m in with all these hardcore people” kind of event. That’s why guys like Danny Sullivan and Joe Pulizzi show up there.
Would Love to See You and Say Hi!
Brian hooked me up with a special code that gives you a few hundred bucks off your ticket. That way, I’ve even helped reduce your reasons for not going.
Join me. It’ll be a blast. Promise.
