Free eBook on Social Media and Social Networks

February 11, 2008

book Social Media and social networking can be a tricky thing for businesses and organizations to consider. I wrote about this the other day, and have since decided to make a free, downloadable eBook available for your consumption.

If you’re looking to show your organization how to get into social media and social networking, here’s a downloadable starting points document to open up the conversation.

Feel free to pass it on. File: Social Media and Social Networking Starting Points - PDF file.

Thanks Chris - excellent way to introduce the subject, or nudge some of our more reluctant contacts down the path towards social networking and social media. I’ll certainly be passing it along.

Chris, Nice job with the e-book. Interesting way to really pull together items you’ve written about in multiple blog posts into a cohesive form.

One item I would add, though, would be to think about a “comment policy” if you are going to launch a blog and (presumably) allow comments. A policy doesn’t have to be big or fancy, but putting some thought into ground rules for how you want the conversation to unfold on your blog *before* you start engaging in that conversation is a good idea.

Take it from someone who didn’t! :-) More thoughts and links to comment policies here:

Anyway, I will encourage people to download your e-book. I like your “C B” logo, too.
Dan

This was great. I liked it because your points were clear and easy to understand. I think this would also be motivational.

very good job indeed, bravo Chris!
i’ll push it forward on my network.

if i were you just to say, i’d cover also people search engines and would already introduce the demand for the professional roles like Social SEO/Social Media Optimisation/Marketing, and the tools already available and to-arrive/to-improve, to manage this.
i mean Digital Identity Managing for dummies that dream to become experts one day 8-)

however it’s all mostly there

Chris–
Great teaser ebook. You should make it a more in-depth book and also offer teleseminars on social networking (better you to tackle it than me). I’m starting to experiment with teleseminars and info products and I think this is a good candidate for one of your own!

Very useful tool, it’s gonna help me in few weeks to improve my choices and feelings on social networking.
I think too much noisy behaviors exist now on these tracks, it makes real sense to give back roots to this exciting topic.
Thx and congrats’

Is a very interesting read. Learnt quite a bit about social networking.Mine started by running campaigns on Mozes.com. I got interested after that. Social networking is a very powerful tool. I think more people should leverage on the sites for their marketing and some of them are even mobile now.
